A Message from God

We have good news to a dying world. That there is a God and He is good! God made the earth and the heavens and all that is living and He also made you. You are not a jumped up monkey, you are not accidental stardust bouncing aimlessly around a meaningless universe - you are designed and created by God almighty for an eternal purpose in this hour of history.
Not only that, but God wants you to know him personally and intimately and has made a way for you, through Jesus, to come back to Him and to be His child and friend. God is not mean and angry. He is not sitting up there on a cloud wanting to bash everybody. He doesn't cause all the suffering in the world. He doesn't inflict disease and author conflict. He is a good God full of love. God doesn't just love – He is love. It's all about Jesus.

WHY JESUS?

Jesus was humble, gentle and kind to people, but also bold and authoritative - the greatest teacher, philosopher and most influential leader the earth has ever known. Indeed even today's secular historians agree that no person has had more influence on history than Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus went around telling everyone that "the Kingdom of God is at hand" (it is spiritually next to you right now). Jesus didn't hang out with holy and pompous people, but went to the poor and oppressed, the prostitutes and crooks. Many began to follow Jesus, although they did not completely understand everything He was saying.

Jesus told them that God loved them unconditionally. He told them that if they saw Him (Jesus) then they had seen God. Jesus taught that there was a better way to live a godly life and to find salvation on this earth than to follow a bunch of laws and religious rituals. God is not interested in our religion, He wants relationship with us. The religious people of his day were fuming, hopping mad. Jesus healed everyone that was sick in mind and body that He came across - blind people, lame people, all kinds, leaving no-one out. He even raised dead people to life. This power is available today. Jesus came and comes today to restore, redeem and save the world.
But the problem is our sin. All of us have sinned, done bad things, lived in an evil and selfish way. Our sin has cut us off from a holy God. All of us are guilty before God, all of us need salvation. Mother Theresa, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, name any heroic, morally impressive "do-gooder" – none are righteous before God, not one. The wages of our selfish, sinful lives is death and hell and so Jesus was judged in our place when He died on the cross of Calvary. Jesus was then raised from the dead according to the scriptures and seen by hundreds. He said, "Because I live, you shall live also." He offers his eternal life to you. Jesus' resurrection from the dead substantiates every one of His claims and provides us all a guaranteed way back to God.

Jesus is alive today. He is who he said he was, the Son of God. He comes to you today, even through this random pamphlet. Change the way you think, turn from your current life and now believe in Jesus.

Pray this prayer:
"Lord Jesus, thank You that You love me and showed this when You died on a cross for me. I know that I have broken Your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins, were resurrected from the dead, are alive today, and hear my prayer. I invite You Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Your name I pray, Amen."
NOW WHAT?
You are now born again by the spirit of God. You are now a child of God!
Join His family, get involved in a lively church. Get baptized in water. Be filled constantly by the Holy Spirit and live a life of intimacy with Him. Read the bible, the word of God – daily. The Spirit of God and the word of God are your fuel. Take as yours all of the promises of God. All things are now possible to him who believes!
Reject all that the bible calls evil. Seek all that is good. If you mess up, ask your Father in heaven to forgive you quickly and He will. Know that it is done, by the blood of Jesus. Forgive others as you are forgiven. Love God and love others. Bless people, don't curse.
Proclaim this good news. Live by this good news. Live for the Day of Judgement at which we will all be present. Remember: "He is the Lord and He changes not." The word of our God stands forever. You are now a bearer of His word, God's light, in a dark world. The cross and resurrection is the power of God to save from death anyone who believes. Never be ashamed of this gospel. Boast in the cross alone. Never be afraid. Preach it. Tell it to the lost. Lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Throughout history the world has been turned upside down by His obedient and victorious church going out into the highways and byways and in His name winning the lost and making disciples everywhere.
Go and do likewise.
